I have always valued building meaningful relationships with my patients and treating each person as a whole, not just their symptoms.

Beyond General Practice
Working as a GP Partner within the NHS for more than 12 years, I have come to realise that the greatest difference I make to my patients’ health is when I help them take control of their lifestyle - improving how they feel today while reducing their risk of illness in the years to come.
Unfortunately, within the NHS, time constraints often make it difficult to explore the root causes of poor health in depth. True, sustainable change requires a personalised approach, one that considers your individual health, risks, and circumstances
My journey to Lifestyle Medicine
My journey into Lifestyle Medicine began quite unexpectedly. After having my own children, and with one of them spending time in and out of hospital during my maternity leave, I found myself returning to work feeling tired, stressed, and not at my best - as a doctor or as a parent. It was only when I began prioritising my own wellbeing and making small, consistent lifestyle changes that I noticed a profound difference in how I felt. Those small steps helped me regain my energy, focus, and sense of balance.
Seeing these benefits first-hand led me to explore the science behind Lifestyle Medicine. I discovered the wealth of evidence showing how the way we live each day - what we eat, how we move, how we rest, connect, and manage stress -not only transforms how we feel but also extends both our lifespan and our healthspan (the number of years we spend in good health)

Building Experience
As my passion for Lifestyle Medicine grew, I joined the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine and completed their Foundation Course, working towards full accreditation. I have also completed the ILM-5 Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring, which has enhanced my ability to guide and support patients through meaningful, lasting change.
The future of Healthcare
Through my Lifestyle Medicine work, I’ve witnessed remarkable transformations. Patients who, by making small but purposeful adjustments one step at a time, have reclaimed their energy, improved their health, and prevented future disease.
At Dr Kerry, I offer a bespoke, personalised service that includes comprehensive health and risk assessments with time to focus on your goals and create a tailored healthcare plan. My aim is to help you feel your best now, and support you in building a healthier, longer life.
